What We Do

The Hawaii Association of Broadcasters, Inc. is a non-profit membership-driven trade organization serving Hawaii radio and television stations statewide. The purpose of the Association is to assist members with broadcast industry and general business related challenges/issues while keeping membership dues affordable for stations of every size. HAB members are offered educational seminars, legal resources, legislative watchdog representation, updates on industry trends and the opportunity to network with other broadcasters. Through conferences, programs and meetings, including the HAB annual convention, the HAB provides training in matters of sales and advertising, promotions, programming, social media, digital and public service. The Government Relations committee works with state and federal lawmakers and regulatory agencies to ensure the varied interests of Hawaii broadcasters and the industry as a whole. Through the HAB JobBank, members are assisted with employee recruitment through broad outreach. With increasing participation from smaller stations and the neighbor islands, The HAB continues to grow.
