LEARN HOW TO POSITION YOUR STATION AGAINST OTHER MEDIA

Tuesday, March 4, 2008
Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki
Mauna Kea Ballroom
7:30am – 8:45am Breakfast Buffet
9:00am – 11:45am Program

One of the easiest ways to prospect for new clients is by going after accounts already advertising with somebody else. Why not? Someone else has already done most of the work by convincing the client to advertise to begin with.  Now all you have to do is contact that client and educate him on the benefits of using your station as well. Unfortunately that prospecting strategy works both ways. While you’re prospecting other media it is logical to assume that other media are also prospecting you. To be more effective in your prospecting efforts and at the same time protect what you have on the air, you should know how to sell against other media. You should know the strengths and weaknesses of other media and you should be aware of what other media are saying about radio and television’s weaknesses.  We’ll do that in this seminar. Then we’ll look at strategies to divert money local clients are spending on other media…to your station.
